Its flexibility enables it to work on any visible site, leveraging search engines when needed.

How does it work?

CUA uses a screenshot-based approach to understand web pages and perform tasks. Each action is followed by an observation of the result, allowing dynamic adjustments. Additionally, Operator requests confirmations for critical actions such as purchases or reservations, ensuring greater user control.

Security and Reliability

OpenAI has implemented robust security measures to prevent misuse. Operator rejects harmful tasks, blocks fraudulent sites, and has a monitoring system to detect potential risks. Although not yet perfect, with a performance score of 58.1% in web navigation evaluations, it outperforms similar systems and continues to improve.
